Writing : Trust |

If you want someone to trust you, you must first give them the same level of trust you want them to give to you. If you want them to trust your word, you must trust their word first. Only a lier will distrust another. How is that so? To have someone's trust, you must give them the same level of trust, so when you lie to someone, you have broke that level, even if they don't know. you failed to trust them to tell them the truth. Therefore, any trust you build upon that is now unstable due to that deceitful fundation laid down by you. Three cases come after this step. First, they never find out and continue to trust you. Second, they find out but continue to trust you. Third, they find out and begin to distrust you. In the first case, you may fface times where you have to lie again to cover up the previous lie, in fear of them finding out that you have "betrayed" their trust. Thus the lies pile up like a snowball going downhill. The longer it rolls, the harder it will hurt when it crashes. In the second case, often times you do not know if you are in the first case or third, thus you would react much like the first. In the third case, two snowballs start rolling downhill together, and the damage is imaginable. In all three cases, however big the damage has done, it is possible to completely repair the damage done and may very well become a greater trust normally may not have been possible. There is only one way to repair and regain the trust lost. You must clear up all the deceits you have laid down. Starting from the very first to the very last. It seems hard because we are afraid to loss the other person's trust. Do you not trust yourself enough to trust other people to trust the truth as you present? Then perhaps that "truth" is what you don't trust? Then it is not the truth that you know. You must present the truth as the truth, exactly the way you experience. Then you will be able to trust the other person to trust your truth. Because it is the truth. When the truth is presented as itself, no one will be able to question it, because it is the truth. When you have re-presented every truth that was mispresented in the past. Even if they still show you doubts, you will feel free as a bird, knowing that from now on you can once again trust your own actions and won't feel the need to distort the truth to the other person. Gradually you will notice the truce rebuild as the other person is able to fully gain your trust and trusting you. Do not wait for the other person to speak up. You must do it now, not as soon as possible, now. Otherwiswe that soon you are waiting for will never come. |
